SpatialEngine streams data progressively, automatically downloading only what is needed for the current view, from low to high detail. The same streaming renderer works across volumetric datasets, point clouds, and meshes, so applications can work with massive datasets without loading everything into memory.
Work with time-series volumes and point clouds to visualize and animate data through time, including applications such as historical and time-varying LiDAR.
Stream supported map tile services, including elevation and imagery. Render maps as traditional flat projections or as a globe, and switch between them dynamically.
SpatialEngine is designed for efficient, reactive 3D applications rather than game-style rendering loops. Only the parts of the scene that need to change are recomputed, allowing applications to work with large datasets without unnecessarily consuming the user's compute resources.
Query and filter massive, attribute-rich volumetric datasets without streaming the entire volume.
A single volume can contain many attributes, including physical properties, simulation values, classifications, part numbers, and other application-specific data. SpatialEngine streams only the attributes required by a query or filter.
Query and color independently. For example, show only blocks where stress exceeds yield strength while coloring those blocks by temperature. The same underlying dataset can support many different views and analysis workflows without duplicating the data.
SpatialEngine can also query the scene itself, allowing applications to determine what the user is interacting with spatially and retrieve the associated attribute values at that location.
Perform volumetric CSG operations on massive datasets locally or in SpatialDrive. Cut, subtract, select, merge, and modify volumetric data without requiring the entire dataset to be loaded.
Billion-element, attribute-rich volumes are automatically version controlled. Edits are diffed so that only changed data needs to be stored, while unchanged data is shared between versions. This makes small edits to massive datasets fast to store, edit, and stream.
Build CAD workflows with built-in per-object versioning. Mutations to the scene are serializable, asynchronous, and automatically tracked, making them compatible with SpatialDrive's project collaboration and versioning system.
The engine handles the infrastructure behind interactive editing, including undo/redo, serialization, versioning, and cloud collaboration. You can focus on the business logic of your application while still building interactive 3D tools where users can manipulate objects directly in the scene.
Build portable, sandboxed engine extensions that run on both desktop and browser.
SpatialEngine uses the WebAssembly Component Model, allowing extensions to be written in any language with component model support, including Rust and Python through tools such as Componentize-Py.
The same extension can run in different environments without giving it unrestricted access to the host application. You can also expose the extension system to your own users, allowing them to safely customize and extend your applications.
